Since Smethport

What this site is

One toy, four live listings, and a lot of questions nobody was answering in one place. These pages hold the story of the board, a side-by-side look at every box you can buy today, a wheel of drawing prompts, and honest answers about powder, magnets and three-year-olds.

The toy itself has been made in Pennsylvania since 1955 and is printed today by PlayMonster. Their factory line does the making; a large retail partner does the selling. These pages do the explaining.

What this site is not

Not the factory: nobody here seals powder under plastic bubbles. Not the shop: no basket, no checkout, no parcels leaving any address of ours. When a button on these pages says the shelf is that way, it means exactly that: it walks you to the retail partner where the box is actually sold.

Why bother

Because the top of the search results explains this toy in fragments: an encyclopedia entry here, a bare listing there, a nostalgia post somewhere else. A toy this simple deserves one calm shelf where the history, the physics and the four boxes all sit together. That is the whole ambition.
