Three honest rules of thumb
Buying one, want it simple
Take the flagship box. It is the current print run, the page with the most photos, and the one with five thousand buyer voices behind it.
Buying several, or watching the cost
Check the value and travel listings first. Same board, quieter pages, and most days one of them is a couple of dollars under the flagship.
Buying a memory
The Patch-era box wears the cover a lot of adults grew up with. If the point is handing a kid the thing you had, that cover is the whole purchase.
